Time For Some Bragging!

So I wanted to write a quick post today to brag a little bit about my beautiful bride.  For those of your who didn't know, Steph decided to do a startup last July (www.BPOLocator.com) that officially went live in September, 2012.  Since then, Steph has been working hard to get the company established.  At the close of of 2012 she was starting to get on a role with locating new partners and new lead sources.

Then in January, 2013 all of Steph's hard work all came together and she was able to place a huge amount of revenue with some call centers, and build a very lucrative pipeline.  Besides her sales success, Steph has begun to look toward the future and has already begun the process of expanding her sales force to handle the huge influx in business.

Words alone can not convey how proud of her I am.  She has taken on a monumental challenge to build a business from scratch, and is not only doing it, but kick butt at it.

Congrats Babe!!  You deserve everything you are working so hard to earn!!

I am so proud!!

Golf Is On The Menu This Winter!

Avera Marshall Golf Outing 2012
Golf, the one game that can bring me to the brink of violence and to nirvana all in the same round!

I have played golf on and off since I was a little kid.  It was something I enjoyed doing, but could never find the time to get out and play enough to really ever get good at it.  That is until now!

Last year brought golf back front and center into my life.  It is the first time I finally had a reason to get my sticks out, and begin to get more serious about my game.  Between charity events, golf outings, and other work functions, I knew it was time to really think about golf being a bigger part of my life.

So this winter I decided to take the first steps in getting my golf game up to something I could be okay with.  To do that I enrolled into GolfTec's (http://www.golftec.com) training camp program.  It is a three month long program that starts with a full swing assessment and then plots out a custom training program for your particular needs.

I had my assessment last Sunday, and have my first class this Sunday.  So far I have been amazed by how quickly they have been able to identify what was wrong with my swing, and how they need to fix it.  Already, after just the assessment I have seen a drastic change in my swing and consistency with hitting the ball.

So for all you golf nerds out there, here was what I was told at my assessment.  My body movement was one of the best he had ever seen, but I had a closed face swing.  This along with a messed up grip and a horrible downswing set the stage for the next three months of my life.  My back swing, since it was actually very good, is only going to be focused on for 2 - 3 weeks.  After that it is all about my downswing, impact and follow through.

I must say, I am really enjoying hitting that stupid white ball again.  There is just something so relaxing about it.  It is has been a lot of work so far, and we have just begun.  But, I know if I focus and put in the hard work my game will be something pretty special this coming season.

In case you are curious, my goal is to get my average game to the very low 90's and end the season in the high to mid 80's.  My coach says if I do the work, I should have no problem hitting those numbers.

I will make sure to update all of you on how things come along as my lessons continue.

See you at the driving range!!
